ALL SAINTS’ DAY MASS

NOVEMBER 1, 2007

Introduction:  Good Morning!  Happy All Saints’ Day!  Today is a time of celebration.  The saints were people who believed in God and worked very hard to do what God asked of them.  This year, we are learning about the light of Jesus and how we are called to live in his light.  The saints all lived in the light of Jesus.  They prayed, worked hard, made sacrifices and gave their lives in service to others.  Even though the saints have died and gone to Heaven to be with Jesus, their work is not done.

As a Church, we believe in the communion of saints.  This means that we can pray to the saints to help us.  They can help us when we are sick, feeling alone, have lost something or are working on a special project.  The saints are always there to help us; we only have to ask them.  Let us join together today to joyfully celebrate the lives of the saints and their communion with us.
